2011 Hyundai Sonata

The new Hyundai Sonata will be available in the USA later this month. It is an improvement on the prior Sonata models and what I find significant is that it appears to be another affordable, attractive, fuel efficient sedan that one can purchase without the hybrid upcharge. Hyundai has climbed the ladder of mechanical reliability in the last few years and this car appears to follow suit in projected dependability. The $23,000 price tag is affordable and so is the 30 combined mpg. It comes with a 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder Theta engine that delivers 165 hp. It is a little bigger, faster and more gas efficient than its predecessor. The optional 3.3 liter, 249 hp 6 cylinder engine that has been available in the Sonata will likely also be available in the 2011 model.
