Will it step on the gas to domestic auto sales? Wow, the invincible Toyota is vulnerable. American auto manufacturers are not the only ones to understand the meaning of the word “recall”. What will the long term effects of this major breakdown of the Toyota dependability mystique be? Do consumers think that maybe Ford’s mechanical record stats look pretty good now? Sticky gas pedals are scary and can cost lives. Does the consumer forget about this in a year? My guess is, yes. What’s yours?
