Is Timing a Factor?

The liquidation ads for auto dealers’ inventories are now appearing in the media. Is it time to dive headlong into a new deal in hopes of beating other buyers to the “once in a lifetime” deal? Will there be more to come? Do you turn in your leased vehicles early, roll over the debt on a Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge Ram Truck that may be marked down but still gets 15-17 mpg in the city? What will happen as this GM thing unfolds? Will there be better “once in a lifetime” deals? The auto consumer has to be a seer as well as a financier. Perhaps the best guide to buying a car is the front page, not the car ads.
