Is it time to buy a Ford?
Dec 16th, 2008 by gmoran
It appears that the strongest of the Big Three is Ford. Yesterday, Ford gave Congress the most encouraging picture of its financial situation of the 3. That’s not to say things are good or they wouldn’t be on Capital Hill. But in looking at their auto lineup, they also may be closer to making cars that people want to buy. Their models are very competitive with top foreign vehicles. They may have outgrown the old Ford nickname, Fix Or Repair Daily. Consumer Reports’ 2008 Car Reliability Survey ranked Ford, Mercury and Lincoln models at the top of their respective categories. The Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan hybrids are family car favorites. The new Ford Focus sedan has significantly improved its performance since its 2000 introduction. Is it time to buy? Will the warranty be held by Uncle Sam?
