More Fashionable Fuel Saver – Honda Civic Hybrid

Yesterday I was lamenting the less than thrilling body styling of the Toyota Prius, at least that’s the way I reacted to it. Now, the Honda Civic Hybrid is a bit of a different story. It’s a little longer and sleeker than the Prius but you won’t confuse it with a Lexus. You will likely get 40 mpg in the city and 45 on the road with a MSRP of $22,600. It has a 1.3 liter 110 horsepower engine and a 20 hp 76 lb-ft. electric motor. The battery has an 8 year, 80,000 mile warranty. It has a sufficient array of creature features so that you won’t feel so bad when everyone is passing you! But you won’t have to feel like an ugly duckling in the Honda Civic Hybrid – It’s really a nice looking car.
