More hybrids for Chrysler. From Eric Morath, Detroit News, comes word that Chrysler is planning more hybrid vehicles after its recent introduction of the Dodge Durango and Chrysler Aspen Hybrids, the first hybrid models by the automaker. A Two-Mode Hybrid System, developed jointly by Chrysler, General Motors, Daimler AG and BMW AG will also be used in future models, likely to include larger sedans and trucks. It won’t be long before other auto manufacturers begin to introduce hybrid engineering into its larger passenger vehicles and trucks if, for nothing else that to stop the bleeding. Hybrids may likely be transitional vehicles to future cars using non-fossil fuel technology.
